JobSummary/ Position Purpose
Given the growth potential of China, as the third largest single marketalready, the position is critical for Bayer China success in China to gainwide recognition from stakeholders, particular government, decision-makers,KOL. The position will be supporting all subgroups, spearheading the brandpositioning of Bayer and help subgroups in creating alliances and brandpreferences.
The position holder is responsible for overallBayer image in China with the aim of elevate Bayer image (Who we are and whatdo we do: Science For a Better Life) and commitment to China significantlyvisible and well recognized by relevantstakeholders in China, including government, media, customers, NGOs as well asgeneral public.
The position develops overall brand strategy forBayer China and is accountable for its successful implementation of all relatedinitiatives (both above and below the line) to support Bayer China businessgrowth and development in next 5 years
The job holder needs to ensure the consistencyof Bayer brand image throughout all subgroups in China and provides effective toolsand guidelines to support the usage of them
The position assumes the overall responsibilityfor leading a dedicated team based in Shanghai,on top of that, he or she will need to provide direction and guidance to allsubgroups for related branding activities, assuming central governance role.

MajorResponsibilities
Develop andimplement a corporate branding strategy for Bayer in China in a sustainable manner (inthe context of long-term plan (5 years) and short-term plan (1 year)
Aligning business objectives with sub groups forsynergies, and involve employees, business units across Bayer China to buildour brand together
Create synergies and align Bayer Global brandteam/local Communications community for consistency and for bigger impact
IdentifyBayer China key stakeholders and develop roadmap for stakeholder management
Develop integratedbranding initiatives, operating and interfacing with all key functions withinCommunications, i.e. media relations, issue management, internalcommunications, CSR, publicity and event management
Conductregular targeted stakeholder survey to measure Bayer’s corporate reputation andreturn on investment
Develop andexecute a targeted sponsorship strategy and build a practical sponsorshipscreening tool
Manage to getdeliverables achieved in the creative and cost-efficiency manner
Manage adiverse team with different expertise and motivate people with clear sense ofdirection, and expectations.
Education,Qualifications and Skills
A minimum of 10years sound experience in media/advertising related PR industry
BA / BS degree at least
People management experience
Languages: Fluent in English; Chinese nativespeaker or fluent in Chinese.
Extensive writing, editing, PowerPoint and Excelskills required; working knowledge of Web-based communication tools, etc.helpful.
Ability and willingness to respond to ad-hocrequests that may require some flexibility of overtime work
Mobility and travelling
Strong experience and organizational skills inlarge scale events, branding campaigns in the past
