Position Responsibilities and Overview
-Achieves planned business unit results (sales, operating profit, working capital etc)
-Develops and implements regional sales strategies with regional sales directors and local sales managers to achieve objectives of overall China business plan
-Develops and implements regional retail sales strategies to achieve overall China business plan
-Drives sales effectiveness across division to ensure most effective contribution to business results to include definition (sales methods, costs, results), staffing, development and evaluation/structure of organization
-Develops and leads the integration of new sales concepts such as the Architectural Specialties initiative through the management of the specification team
-Championing new product and customer service requirements within the organisation
-Integrates product portfolio: mineral fiber, metal ceilings, suspension systems
-Establishes measures at local level to help teams monitor and understand key business and market trends
-Communicates and recognizes good ideas/good practice throughout the sales organisation
-Drives the implementation and use of I.T. in sales and ensures sufficient training and resources are available
-Sets up processes to provide information on Chinese trends, market share movement and competitor information
-Implements a China training and personal development plan to ensure the proper development of human resources
-Identifies and develops relationships with key Chinese customers
-Develop and upgrade customers to tap into new market segments in line with strategic plan
-Drives process improvement within the Chinese sales organization
Required Qualifications and Skills
-Ideally we are looking for a senior sales professional with 8 to 10 years of experience who has a proven track record of growing profitable businesses through the implementation of aggressive selling strategies. This experience should include hands on selling experiences as well as developing and implementing strategic and tactical sales plans. Optimally, we are seeking candidates from the building materials industry or large commercial companies.
-Additionally, we are requiring 5 years of experience managing and developing the skills of a selling staff.
-A University degree or equivalent experience is required; a Masters in Business Administration would be an asset.
-Fluency in English would be ideal.
